Biography

I have lived in five states and have travelled around the world, but have lived most of my life in Virginia.  My son is 7 years old, and is the main reason that I smile and thrive each day. I have worked in the wellness industry for over 20 years and love it.

Why did you choose health education as a career field?

There is nothing more professionally rewarding than having someone have an “ah ha” moment from something I share in a program.  Not only do I enjoy sharing what I know and learn, but I enjoy when I learn from state employees at all of my agencies. 

What do you love most about your job?

I love that each day is different and challenging. I love learning about the different state agencies that I get to visit and learning about the wonderful people who make our Commonwealth run.
